lol why would peter do backing vox? :p

here's mine:
guitar - me
guitar&vocals - mike
bass - bass player
drums - lopez
:erk:

Why the fuck shouldn't he, Peter-hater? :Spin: I like it when bands all join in on certain parts of songs... it wouldn't be like him singing a lot.

Your question is just as relevant as asking, "Why does Per do backing vocals on Lamentations?"

I think the idea of having 2 lead singers in a band is excellent, and there are definitely not enough bands that do it. (none that I know of, actually.)

The Project Hate MCMXCIX. One male 'growler'. One female 'angel'. The end.

This sounds more like a soccer team, lol :loco:

Guitar: Me
Guitar: Buckethead
Vocals: Matt Barlow (ex. Iced Earth)
Drums: Horgh (ex. Immortal)
Bass: Cliff Burton

I picked only one member from each fave band to get a good mix
... so here we go:

Simen (Arcturus)- vocals
Blakkheim (Katatonia/ Bloodbath) & Omar Rodriguez (The Mars Volta)- guitars
Kevin Moore (Chroma Key)- keys
Martin Lopez- drums
Me- bass, backing vocals and songwriting (cause I probably couldn't play the songs my bandmates write :D )

I have a hard time naming off people I'd like to see in a band together because, more than likely, their styles of music wouldn't be that compatible.

That said, I wouldn't mind seeing these people working together, in one form or another:

- Mike Åkerfeldt
- Dan Swanö
- Arjen Lucassen
- Jon Schaffer
- Devin Townsend

...except peter can't sing, and has said so in interviews :erk:
he could do gang vox, like screaming "DIE!" and shit :p

and no, i'm no peter hater, but i'm not gonna kick mike out am i:wave:

If it was a band where my own songs would be played, this would be the lineup:

Guitars & Vocals: Ganza
Guitars & Vocals: Mikael Åkerfeldt
Bass Guitar: John Myung (Dream Theater)
Keyboards & Backing Vocals: Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree, Blackfield)
Drums: Martin Lopez

If I weren't in the band, but I wanted to create a kick ass band, it would be:

Guitars: Peter Wichers (Soilwork) :worship:
Guitars: Jesper Strömblad (In Flames)
Guitars: Michael Amott (Arch Enemy)
Bass: Peter Iwers (In Flames)
Drums: Daniel Erlandson (Arch Enemy)
Vocals: Bjorn "Speed" Strid (Soilwork)
Vocals: Anders Friden (In Flames)
Vocals: Howard Jones (Killswitch Engage)
Vocals: Mikael Stanne (Dark Tranquillity)

OMG I would SO buy the whole discography of this band :headbang:

Ok. No ones hating on Peter. For me personally, he's my favourite Opeth member.

And no, he shouldnt do backup vocals because he seems so comfortable not bothering to sing. I just dont see Peter coming upto the mic and joining in on a chorus.... that just wouldnt look right. It just wouldnt.... I dont want to see Peter lowering his neck like james hetfield just to scream 'Demon, demon of the fall!'.
