Dream Theater. First impressions.

I picked up Scenes from a memory. They sound totally different than I had imagined. They are obviously all talented musicians.
I'm trying to give the overall a fair chance before I decide whether I like it or not. (some cd's take time to grow on me)

Something I've noticed though is that there is certain voice that the singer uses that at times makes me feel like I want to jump into the stereo, find him, and boot him in the ass!


I also picked up Rush's new one. I have to let that one sink in too.
Next I need to get Blaze's last one. And I think I'll pick up Robert Plants new one. I like that new song he did Darkness I think it's called.

Anyway, I'm listening to that Dream Theater now and he just did that voice and I subconsciously began thinking of steel toed boots!

I have not gotten used to that album myself. My favorite is still their first one..Images and Words. Great album.

I haven't heard anything from them yet (shame on me).
But I've heard that their 3 disc live album "Scenes from New York" (I think it's called so) should be pretty good. Maybe I should check them out.

I've downloaded some tracks from Dream Theater doing some Rush tracks, these guys are really talented. I also have Dream Theater playing with Steve Howe from Yes and I have to say it's great.
I don't know of any of there own matterial, but I like what I have herd.

Yea..Pull me under. The closest song they had to a 'hit'.
That is on Images and Words.
