drop C - 6 string gauge suggestions

I use the GHS Zakk Wylde set, with Devin Townsend tuning CGCGCE

Seem to last pretty well and give chug stuff a good percussive sound

They're 011 .014 .018 .036w .052 .070

Personally I wouldn't be going any lighter than a set of 12's. But then Im currently using 10-52's in drop d.

For Drop C? What are you smoking?!

Doesn't beat the guy I saw once that came into the store wanting a 12-56 set... For E standard :yell:

Dean Markley's 12-54 sounded very good to me

Fo real? We got a shit-ton of them at work! Never really tried them, and they don't sell that good either.. most people want Ernie Ball or D'Addario.

Gonna pick up a set of 11's for my lovely D tuning tomorrow :)

^This.
LOVE THAT TUNING.
I also use his more recent tuning, B F# B F# B D#.
It's the dog's bollocks.

You know, most string sets you get will be made for standard, so the lowest string will never feel right, because the
string is a whole step lower. I guess you could get an individual heavy as hell bottom string if you really want it perfect.
