drum playback??

hey there, I'm new to all of this so bare with me..hoping someone here can help..I'm using EZ drummer(DKFH) with cubase studio 4.

First, after all the drums loaded in ez drummer. i noticed that clicking individual drums to hear sounds did nothing. I mean the kick didn't kick, the snare didn't make a noise, cymbals...,etc. what do i need to do? v

Second, after picking a sample i liked i hit play on the ez drummer interface, I couldn't hear anything...any help here?


Lastly, after dragging the sample into cubase then playing the sample back, i can hear the drums but sometimes it will add like a chime or cowbell sample which shouldn't be in there but the sample's would work. (possibly a drum mapping issue??)

I never played with ezdrummer but if I had that problem I would open the midi track where you can write new midi notes and try all the notes and figure out where are the snare/kicks/etc and then transpose.

How would I go about transposing or re-mapping the sounds? Sorry, I'm just really new to this. Do you know if there's any tutorials out there on re-mapping in cubase? Hope someone can help. thanks!

I don`t know about cubase, but usually it`s just a drag and drop thing. Just move the notes up or down in the list until they trigger the right sound.
Most programs also have a drum map manager where you can sort things out.
If you don`t hear anything make sure you have your midi channels the same in the application.
