Drumagog Weirdness

Hey Guys n Girls,

Do you ever have phasing problems when using Drumagog??

I'm in the middle of a session and the producer has picked up on some phasing issues when using Drumagog on a snare track. Sometimes it places the hit in front of the original snare and sometimes after the original hit....so when you check for phase coherence with the other mics you get problems. However if I drop these samples onto each hit the phasing is fine (We're using samples created from the drummer’s kit)

I'm using the advanced mode and pulling the track ahead by 'X'ms to compensate for latency.

Any help is much appreciated

I have experienced the same problems with drumagog and i dont know why or how to solve it.
But with aptrigga it works just fine

I've found that "simple" mode tracks the best in Drumagog.

same here, that's why I bought Aptrigga and haven't looked back...no sample vs. mic- shifting anymore .

seriously give aptrigga a go, you won't have that problem anymore plus a couple of other benefits over drumagog.

I have just tried the aptrigga demo.
By the way, can aptrigga use BOTH random samples and dynamic tracking at the same time, like drumagog?

drumagog has never been perfectly tight in pro tools for me... i spend more time lining the samples up then i do replacing them.
but its really intermittent. sometimes itll be amazing.
oh well

i've had the same problem but figured it was only when i used multisamples. most important thing to do is cut your samples at the EXACT same point, when you've got that right there shouldn't be any phasing problems
