Tania its at the QUT campus club. You know where the botanical gardens where we had that fun meet? heh. Can you remember the place we ate at? Well thats basically right next to it. There are a few parking places around but the best bet is probably the one under the freeway by qut. Im pretty sure it will be free at that time on saturday night. You will have to drive into qut round the back way (well side way really). Its the same road you take if you are going to parliment house (not the front entrance but a side one). Its kind of hard to explain without a map
If you can get onto Alice st drive along there and in the direction like you would if going onto the motorway (as if you were going down the coast and make sure you stay in the left lane), but before you actually get on the motorway take the turnoff to gardens point rd, its pretty clearly signed so hopefully you wont carry on onto the motorway. When you get on that road just carry along it till you get to the car park....its not that far down. You wont be able to get into actual qut roads at the boom gate things will be down anyway. If you look on a current refidex its pretty clear. Hope this helps!
Once parked exit the car and walk out the car park. You will see the bridge over the river to southbank. Dont get on that (obviously ) and walk in the opposite direction and you will come across stairs which are next to the campus pool. Walk up those and once at the top keep going in a straight line. You should see tables and umbrellas and stuff (and most likely hear music ) and just walk around by the building to the first main entrance. Go in there walk forward turn left and go up the stairs and you are there!!!!

QUT parking is never free. Its open 24 hours and its pay as you use. I fucking hate the Nazi's there with their parking. You could probably park there and just not pay and probably get away with it, but because something is on they will probably have someone checking the cars.
I could be wrong, but Im pretty sure its pay parking all the time.
Plus the max time you can park there is 4 hours. Best bet would probably be a meter park on the street or park in the Myer carpark, 7 bucks for as long as you want on the weekend and just walk down to the uni.
Me, i think ill probably cab it to the uni.

It's probably a bit hard to get lost but if you've never been there before, well, it could make things difficult. its open 24 hours. It costs about 2 dollars per half an hour or something...i know to park for 4 hours it costs like 6 bucks...so however that works out is how much per time period.

Well it was open to at least 12:20 a few saturdays ago so yep Id say you would be fine parking there, like salty said. I am pretty sure its cheap or free on saturday night. Dont quote me on that though. I will get back you on the cost if I find out between now and tomorrow or saturday or something if thats not too late

I went to a talk by Andrew Lesnie and the uni puts parking Nazi's on when they have things on so I dont know what your chances will be at sneaking it.
On another hand...on the weekends...there is free parking right by the uni actually...theres a car park that is normally for employees only, but opens for free on the weekend...dunno how late for though.
Its on the street that runs parralel to george street...closest to the freeway. If you come off the freeway onto margaret street...and take the first right...theres a big fenced carpark on that street on the right hand side. Thats free on weekends...and is right across from parlament house and the uni. Just near the uni drop off area. if you come down george street to go straight into the drop off area...turn right up alice street and then your first right again...going that way its on your left on that small street. I cant remmeber what the hell the street is called though.
Hope this doesnt just confuse the situation more lol
