Earth-shattering low-end

I just tried something I wanted to show you guys:

Left a rather unconventional amount of low-end on the guitars here…

Nyet. Fun test, but sounds very muddy.

Nay, but try putting something like GMonoBass on the guitar tracks.. it helps in some cases(It lets you adjust the stereo width on everything below a certain cutoff-frequency.).

What "something" did you do exactly? Sounds like it would be rad with a little tweaking.

I cut the lowend of the guitars just below 40Hz. I liked the "oomph" so I figured why not

I actually figured you boosted the low end in some way and not cut it. haha

What did you use for the source tone? I quite like it.

Well it's common to cut the low-end way higher.
I used an Axe Fx Ultra

Yeah, I usually cut around 80Hz to 100Hz. I've never tried the Axe Fx stuff but I really like some of the tones I hear out of it.

Can't speak for the Axe II, but the Ultra needs a shit tonne of tweaking to sound good

But it's pretty nice after you've tinkered a few patches
