Easiest Amp to record? Need Advice.

I wish At least in Finland everyone seems to be trying to sell their 5150/6505 for almost the price of new ones. I wish someone would tell them what is the difference of a NEW and USED amp :Smug: Here's a rough average for prices:

5150 = 900 euros USED (really fucked up uke: )
5150 II = 1000 euros USED (read above )
6505 = 1100 euros new, 1000 euros USED (wtf... including the NEW price)
6505+ = 1200 euros new, 1100 euros USED

Hell, the amp costs around the same even in Sweden and Germany (well, Thomann). It must be some conspiracy.

Well, okay ... the prices don't differ THAT much between new and used amps. But when I was about to buy my 6505 I also checked out ebay Germany and there were a couple of 5150, which were then sold for more than the used 6505's I checked out. One 5150 was even sold for MORE than the 6505 brand-new at thomann.

i think that's due to a lot of idiots out there who think that the original 5150 is somehow "better" than the 6505

even on ebay, i consistently see the block letter 5150's going for as much $900, where the EVH signature ones top out at around $700, and often sell for less than that

I think you should be more concerned with your speaker micing than a "plug n play" head...
