Like I said in the thread talking about the original delay. These things happen its no one's fault. The people hurt by it have every right to be upset, or dissapointed. But being dissapointed gives no one the right to start flame wars. I opened the thread hoping it would be a discussion of civility and of fans discussing their dissapointement. Not to read about people insulting each other etc. Decorem in these situations often shows your dissapointment better than flaming the band, yelling about not having information, or flaming other people. Rather than go into a rant about internet decorum I will recommend you to a wonderful little site that will do it for me:

Having got that off my chest:
I was dissapointed about their cancellation as I was looking forward to seeing Opeth live but I am also rather concerned. Has there been any official news or even rumours about the cancellation? I heard that the drummer was sick and was wondering how serious it was, and hoping, of course that it wasn't serious.
In any case. It is indeed very dissapointing that they weren't able to make it. But it does not diminish the worth of the band, the quality of their music or their dedication to their work. I, as a musician, have been unable to attend concerts before because of last minute problems. If there wasn't a good reason they wouldn't have cancelled and it is because of this that I am slightly concerned. I hope that they will come back some time in the future somewhere close enough for me to go to see them and, while I will be dissapointed if they don't, I will still have their music as I have the music of so many other bands I have not and most likely will never see live.
I wish luck to Opeth and hope that their reason for cancelling isn't too serious.
