Egnater Vengeance clips

First time hearing of this amp... just googled it and saw there's also the Armageddon, which has an ISP Decimator built in... I'm intrigued.

Yeah they are killer. I got to play the Vengeance for about min when they arrived at my local GC. The cleans were really good and the drive channels sound sick. If I ever get one I would love to try KT-88s or something in the power section; there are individual bias points for each pair of tubes!

I wonder how good the XLR DI out is for recording / live shows...

Damn, that's a cool tone. Pretty unique too, doesn't sound like every other high gain head IMO. Anything you'd compare that to?

I'm really on the verge of trading my Krank Rev+ in for one of these. You might've just pushed me over that fence.

Thanks guys! Its definitely an interesting head. Kind of has its owns thing going on with it. I definitely like it a lot though. Still trying to get it dialed in for live stuff, but for studio its been pretty easy to get some rad tones with.

Curious, how do you have the mid switches engaged in the recording? I imagine it might be different for a live setting, maybe boosted or in the plus mids setting..?

Maybe try different power tubes? or a mix! :kickass:

I have the mids set to the middle switch. I haven't found much use for the mids switch yet. The density knob is what I find really affects how the amp sounds. Thats the knob I have had to play with the most.
