niclas frohagen is swedish to the BONE. maybe he plays in a band with a french guy on the side but no, he's totally swedish. you should be able to hear all that swedish culture shining through in the texture of the notes

Once I went into a Celtic-themed pub on their Celtic music + Fish n'Chips night wearing a Hate Forest shirt. I was enjoying the band playing and some tasty batter-fried fish at a table when some self-concious old dude noticed that he was obstructing my view slightly (I didn't really care), then turned around moved and was half-way through an apologetic sentence when he read my shirt and suddenly exclaimed... "Hate... Forest?!?"

"uhhh, yeah... they're a rather... odd musical group"
