Electronic Sneapsters?

My faves are Vangelis, Jarre, Oldfield, Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream.. ie. the more "popular" side of electronic music.
Whenever I sit down with my synths, the results are something along that line.
I have no released stuff out, but I try to sneak in those influences into whatever I'm doing (be it metal or whatever..).

I use shitloads of breakbeats, sliced up in Guru - layered with other breakbeats and sometimes kicks from 808's and 909's.

I use kontakt to control samples, find it cool, but i was thinking about getting battery. Did you compared battery to guru? What do you like in guru?

I like the pattern sequencer in Guru.

Maybe I'll keep just kontakt cause I know it well and I don't need a pattern sequencer, the pianoroll can do the same, no?
It's just that for layering work, maybe battery would be more powerfull/easier than making a sample by layering it by hand...
