I have this Jackson dinky baritone guitar with passive emg hz pups and I want to swap them for something a bit more musical. Any ideas? Still looking to play metal with it but the hzs just seem kinda grainy and harsh sounding...
I've swapped passive a before and just resoldered the leads but I'm also wondering if I can just solder directly to the emg pins- since they're passive I'm assuming it'll work and I won't have to mess around with rewiring the pots and everything. Anyone have any experience with this?
