yeah, so anyways, Skepticism, Unholy, Disembowelment, Stone Wings (Elysium before then), Well before Evoken's time, so yeah. All tops Evoken. Some of these bands didn't start releasing stuff till after Evoken came out. So yeah. Thankyou.

evoken wasnt playing funeral doom until the quietus era which was 2001. before that they were definitely a doom/death band. disembowelment and unholy's first releases were in 1993, and mournful congregation, although great is NOT better than evoken by a longshot. hate to break it to you...but release date has nothing to do with this, considering evoken was greatly influenced by half the artists you already mentioned anyway, who technically do NOT qualify...youre really barking up the wrong tree. many of the most prominant doom musicians in the world often have praised evoken as banner carriers of the genre...id give it a rest, youre grabbing at straws now.
