I will be playing a 7 string 27" scale baritone.. rhythm guitar

Hey guys.. Pretty sure I'm picking up a Fireball since I can get one for a decent price.. my only concern is live.. worried about myself cutting through the mix.

I use a Marshall JCM800 Lead cab.. with celestion G12-t75s.. and I really don't have the funds AT THE MOMENT to move to a different cab.

I'd really like to do the ENGL idea seeing how they seem a bit more appealing to me.. dunno why.. but if it won't cut through the mix live.. I'll probably just do a 5150.

So what are you guys opinions? Will my 7 string cut through or should I do the 5150 with this cab?

I'll also be playing rhythm for a death metal band.. tuned to A D G C F A D .. Even lower stringage.. with EMG 707s..

played a show with another local band a year or so back
they had a 5150 through mesa cab for one guitarist, fireball through marshal 1960 slant cab for the other guitarist
the venue always has really fucking terrible sound, but they sounded crystal clear, amazing stuff.
the fireball sounded really fucking good

I'd say the Fireball could work, depending on how you set your mids. The Marshall cab is pretty scooped, so as long has you set the amp with that in mind it should cut based on what I've heard from it.

I tried my new marshall 1960 the last couple of day, with my savage 60.
When I play the savage with my 2x12 v30 I set the hi-range suppressor at 0 (it affects the 1KHz-2.5KHz range) but with the 1960 I have to set it at 12o'clock or more so I think the 1960 is scooped in this frequency range

thats my setup dude fireball-1960 lead cab, just keep the mids above 2 ish or even whack em up to 4 and ull be ok.
and behave with ur high and presence maybe around half way as these cabs tend to be bright.

the other guitar player in my band uses the 6505 and cab and lol my head and cab defo cut through alot better so.................
