ENGL Blackmore/Fireball

I'm honestly not a big fan of that album's tone; too fizzy for me, which is probably the Cobra (another amp I've played with extensively and do not like, though I always had the notch switch off). Maybe the Single works better as a blend, but there's not many knobs, and I messed around with 'em extensively, with nary a desirable result.

I know this is a bit late but:

these sound a lot like the blackmore does in person... (well that's if you set up correctly rather than scooping the fuck out of it)
so it is good for recording, it sounds a lot fatter than the fireball, again that is if you don't scoop it. Scooping makes most amps sound like shit and it makes them sound tinny and piercing. The fireball is a very scooped sounding amp (that's when the eq is set to 12 o'clock) that is compressed sounding. I HATE scooped sounding amps so I would go for the blackmore. I used to have one until I sold it for cash..... I am planning on getting another blackmore pretty soon though.
