Im in an apartment and am trying to find the best way to handle my volume situation since i cant mic up my Savage i figured i would try to throw it down with an impulse and see how it compares to the TSX 30.

Just put on a high and lowpass filter for both, any thoughts?

Edit - Adding one more clip of the 120 with the contour switch off

Me too but when I start fucking with the knobs on the savage The tone doesnt seem to change near as much as if it was just plugged into my Cab, Is that just cause none of the power amp is working or should i be plugging the Send on the loop of the savage into a direct box before plugging into the Line In on my Saffire? It just doesnt seem quit right to me.

Guitar was an Ibanez prestige RGA 321 with a Dimarzio Drop sonic in the bridge. Old crappy strings. I will get some DI's up tomorrow hopefully if i have time, I tried my explorer with emg's but havents changed the strings on that thing for a really long time and it wasnt sounding that great when i tried. but i can probably give it a shot with both guitars if you like.

I tried the same thing with my Horus with EMG 85 and my savage and it definitely didn't sound as good :(

Holy crap the savage sounds good :OMG:

...but the TSE sounds like you have a low pass filter on it, you need to play around with it some more and you will come pretty close to the Savage clip :)

:headbang:

Sounds pretty cool but the sound is sorta tearing apart when you let the chord ring out on the savage clip. Overall it sounds really promising!

Ya I definatley Know what you mean, That was the first thing that was bugging me about it. Also I have to Crank my preamp gain on the saffire pretty damn high cause the output from the effects loop just isnt very high even with the lead Vol. at about 2:00. Any ideas on how to remedy this?

If someone have DI's and preamp clips of the Savage I can work from the X30 model and the not-even-halfway-there-schematics of the Savage to get a model pretty close :p

The TSX I've noticed to be extremely present in the low-mid frequencies. It really needs some subduing there in order to breathe and sound 'correct' next to real amp tones. Maybe it's worth retaking the clip and trying to match the tonality a bit closer?

Just noticed the post above. Somebody get the man some freakin DIs and pre clips!!!!
