ENGL standard vs pro

Is there a huge difference between the cabinets? I plan on replacing the speakers with CL80s either way. Would there be a difference if they had identical speakers?

yep, there is a difference, but both cabs are really good

What I'll probably do is get a Pro, keep one side V30s and keep the other side CL80s. At least for a while. I really dig CL80s, and I've never been very impressed by V30s when I tried them.

Or you could put 'em in an X pattern, which might sound more balanced when using 'em simultaneously, but the cool thing about side by side is that because the cab is stereo it essentially gives you two 2x12's, each with different speakers. By the way, what company makes CL80s? Electro Voice?

Celestion, their full name is Classic Lead 80s.

I might do X pattern, but I think I'll set it up as L/R at first. I want to A/B them and see which I prefer.
