What is the small dip(s) you filter in the EQ to take out the fuzzyness of guitars? I used to know this but ive now done a blank! I know about the really low and high stuff but there was a narrow cut/boost near 250Hz I think.... ARGH!![Erk :erk: :erk:](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
My guitar is still a bit fizzy and farty for my liking
i'll shelve everyting above 12k out on high gain guitars and sometimes go as low as 9k depending on the original sound. Other than that i rarely cut on high gain sounds with an eq. Im not saying its wrong as alot of guitars would really need some cuts here and there but a good solid rhythm tone probably wont need any cutting besides the high and low shelfs. Its just all about finding that sweet spot on the speaker and gettin that mic right in there and you shouldnt have any real problematic frequencies.
