I just wish real metal bands made nu-metal money though. Slipknot sells like a billion albums and everybody screams sell-out when Dimmu sells 100,000 copies in the US after the album's been out for 2 years (this was like last year).

That's true I guess. Concert tickets also cost less. I've payed 80 bucks to see Maiden, although the show was cancelled and I still bitch about it even though it's been well over 2 years.
I saw Gigantour tickets for only like 17 bucks. Megadeth, Opeth, Into Eternity, Arch Enemy and Overkill (those are the only ones I want to see so far), that's practically a steal.

Rock'n Coke (crappy "rock" festival in turkey): Korn-Offspring etc. over 70 ytl
Orphaned Land+Samael+Necrophagist: 40 ytl
and rock'n coke is full and full of posers.
edit: there was 50 cent in rock'n coe 2 years ago. Also a turkish rapper "ceza". We expect Beyonce and snoop doggy dog bark this year..

btw barışarock is quite good, it's free and the bands that play there (even though almost all of them are turkish) are pretty good. the organization (which means, beer) was also good and cheap.

Well Rock'n Coke fest is not related with rock at all. And in the Barisa Rock festival, there are only two metal bands as i know:
False in Truth (thrash/death)
Catafalque (gothic)
And i have no idea about the bands Soulitary and The Blow Up's.
The rest of the other teenage-orianted groups are playing boring like cilekes, camur etc. I only interested with the band Moğollar there as who doesn't play metal on the list.

Including Mor ve Otesi (the emo band),Redd,Demir Demirkan etc. Moğollar:The True Legend. Anyways Abraxas gonna perform I guess and Camur rocks mate.
