Hmm, I don't like Petrucci and Gilbert very much, although they're good, and Gilbert is a freak!!
Paul Gilbert is a freak? WEll, have you heard the liquid tension experiment albums? Petrucci is pretty insane too, that music sounds like a total amount of freak out stuff that petrucci couldnt get rid of while playing in dream theater. Same for Jordan Rudess...
Well and, what about Mattias Eklundh en Ron Thal? I saw them playing together on the headway fest. in Holland, it's too insane to take that serious, really!!

LTE is insane. how anyone could not like petrucci is beyond me. The man is god.
Eklundh is crazy, though i've only heard like two songs from him. I can't find much of it anywhere and the stores around where i live sell nothing but crap

Well, freak, you could check out freak kitchen or Mattias' solo cd Freak guitar, which is labelled under favored nations, and that is steve vai's label. Very cool cd! He also made some kind of a tribute to zappa/vai, very nice song. The rest sounds like...dildo's and stuff....!!

Hey Guitarfreak, I replied to your message, but I don't know where it went...Anyway, You can check out freak kitchen or Mattias' solo cd called Freak guitar, which is labelled under steve vai's favored nations. It's really a great cd, lots of crazy stuff, he recorded it in his bathroom, in presence of his little duckie!!

yep, I could send a picture file. Do you read notes? It´s not very hard to play it by ear, if you play piano it wouldn´t be a problem.
