I'm gonna buy a recto within the next 2 month and so I searched the web for more info etc.
as you all know the 2ch rectos are very hyped, rare and high priced...although I love some 2ch recordings I heard (Dogman, DHIADW, Aeronautics...) I wondered if the 3ch would really be that "bad" (in comparison to the 2ch).
I don't wanna start a HCAF-like "waht is teh better, 2ch vs. 3ch", I'd just be interested in conciously listening to some good 3ch recordings (metal of course).

what albums have a good 3ch-tone on them?

(thought about putting this in "equipment" but this is more about recordings since I'm not really interested in 2ch vs 3ch but just wanna know some recordings......feel free to move it ;) )

I keep being told by a few people it was a brand new post 2000 3 channel :\

Calling Andy!!!!! ANDYYYY SOLVE THIS MYSTERY FOR US MERE MORTALS PLEASSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEE!

that's the impression I got.

it'S gonna be a 2ch with black diamond-plate..Hellyeah!

(now all I need is a step-down transfomer)

Just mod it, if it's a 2 channel or an old rack mount type, the transformer on it can be mod to work with 220v, ask your tech.
My tech told me the old dual rectfier could be modded, your tech should check it anyway.
Mine was impossible to mod, so I made my tech make a custom transformer.
Andy got his dual recto rack mount from mesa boogie, then he did mod it as far I can remember, he didn't have a new transformer.

K, I'm gonna ask me (the tech) ;)

that's great news, the newer transformers don't have a 220v tap.
thanks for the info
