Expecting the worst is the other extreme which isn't any better IMO. Your subconsiousness will force instant FAIL. This is just a theory for errors in perception. Can't find the name. Let's say you're working with other people on a project. You're the bandhitler but the band is running out of time and you have to share some work. You don't expect anyone to do his/her job right. This will make you force things to go in the wrong direction, because in the end you will do most of the stuff yourself and most likely not very good, because it was way too much for one person. You don't trust people at all. This can lead to other forms of frustration.
