The weird thing is that I prefer the sounds over DFHS sounds as far as I can tell when listening to the demos. It's obviously less raw than DFHS but it's also... I don't know. Nicer room, cool toms... Probably less layers and programming capabilities but sounds really cool.

Should be really good. Like everyone else mentioned it seems like it gives you less control but quicker results.

Toontrack state that the sounds are from the superior dvd's - so maybe it's the easier interface that makes it sound better straight away - but superior is now available for only £35 more in england - so as i'm about to buy one or the other I think i'll go with superior especially as you can bounce it down to higher than 16 bit which you can't with ez drummer as the samples are 16-bit.

It is fantastic value for money though...

the ezdrummer website says that ezdrummer has multi-channel routing. is this what I think it is? what I'm waiting for is a drum sample library that allows me to say, send the snare to a particular mixbus, without bouncing the audio. from my understand DKFH superior doesn't offer this? anyone know what the deal is with this? it'd be awesome if they start offering that option.

Mmm. Are you sure? Superior has no GMS kit pieces nor Rogers Wood....

yeah your right that does appear to be the case - perhaps I imagined the sentence I have in my memory from their website - that I can no longer find - this always happens with my wife - perhaps you stole her reality changing device. :-)

I still I'd prefer the larger dynamic range that superior offers as I don't work with just metal at 11 all the way - I sometimes go to 10.

If anyone knows if there are improvements advantages over superior that would be great - cheaper is nearly always better.

Yes, EZ has multi channel routing. And YES....with D.F.H.S. you can buss out your snare signal without bouncing. We do it all the time.
EZ is killer..... drag and drop, and if you want to tweak it, just grab your midi programs -pencil tool- and tweak.

The only problem that I can see with this is that the 451 on the hat is pointed too far towards the snare. :goggly:

I wish it had a china...I love those things
NO CHINA?!?! fuck! guess I'll have to hold out and save up for DKFH superior. hmmm..unless you can just add a sample to the library...

The kit that comes with it is a rock kit and only has what it has. They are going to release more packs with different kits, and I'm sure future kits will have all sorts of chinas
