I find it funny how you recognised album tracks like Die With Your Boots On and Revelations, and yet didn't recognise Hallowed Be Thy Name which is one of Maiden's most popular songs!!

I was afraid there may have been gear problems. You take wooden instruments from the 70's in Southern California to the -35 of Fairbanks they will need tweaking and could have some tuning stability issues.

Then again other than their guitars everything else is usually provided as the backline and is a roll of the dice for reliability.

It wasn't the guitars though. I believe it was the power supply for the kick boxes in Sara's case. It was hardware in Linda's case, the worst being the mount for the mic on the 14" mounted tom.

Boys, boys - can we please stop focusing on how "hot" the band members are please. They are all beautiful but want to be known for their playing, not their looks. If you really must discuss it, then do it via pm please. Thanks!

I think you misunderstand our intent. Well, at least mine. Yes, I went on about their beauty, but Linda can tell you that we talked about musicianship for 2 hours after the show. We shared stories about how we got our first drum kits, our influences, and even advanced percussion techniques. When talking to the ladies after the show, my comments were all about how they performed. I told Heather that you'd never know that was that new to the group.

What makes the Maidens great isn't one thing. It's their musicianship, their beauty, their personality, and their hard work.

The outfits do show enough to make the horn-dogs drool, but they aren't up there in g-string bikini's either. The codpiece, while you use it as a point for ogling, is a valid piece of metal costuming. When you're on stage, what you wear falls into one of two catagories... comfort, or theme.

I know, I was just stepping in before it got out of hand. You do have to remember that the ladies do come on here regularly and I just want to keep the boards respectable for them.

Nah.. not that lonely. We are definately new to these ladies, and they put on a damn fine show. And let's face it, Iron Maiden is a most excellent band to pay tribute to. I never even bothered to go see Hell's Bells (the all female AC/DC tribute band.) Everyone I talked to after this show said that it was better than Hell's Bells. It says a lot for the talent.

I was in a band 3 years ago that covered The Trooper and Wasted Years. Unlike these ladies, who play it closer to as written, we played the songs at a slightly faster tempo, and with a bit more distortion. It sounded awesome. I was telling Linda after the show about this; recalling how tired those songs made me at the faster pace. She probably thinks I'm some kind of sadist for speeding up those songs. I pretty much had to massage my forearms after those tunes.

It was bloody cold there indeed, but actually easier to deal with than it is here at home at a cozy rainy 55 degrees above zero. Strange huh. A lot happening here since getting home, once things have allowed a calming I'm sure I (and we as a whole) will be posting more so please forgive for the short address of this jaunt, cuz it was a wonderful one to say the least. We'll be back in the summer I hear.

Oh HELL YES!!!!!!!!! One of my very favourites from Killers - the bass in that song is just AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a small venue, but it was packed. I can't say how many, because I got to the front of the stage and never looked back.

Yea funny about the difference in wet and dry climates - I was sooo cold at our Santee show - which amused a lot of people since they knew we had just experience -44!

But we know all about that coffee trick - check the TY Anchorage and Fairbanks thread - Sara posted some vid on that!!!!
