Fans of Powermetal/Heavy Metal - Do you like the singer?

Bitte ;)

Bis morgen:rock:

Haha hier bin ich, mein Freund :kickass:

And I´m so damn surprised, that so much people wrote here! I want to begin my posting with A NEW UPDATE. This time I uploaded the 2. verse with much higher notes (some people here was corious about, how it may sounds)

VERSE 2 (with higher notes) Aaaaaaaaaaarghhhh!!!

What do you think about it? I wanted an intensification in comparison with the 1. Verse. I hope successfull!

That's it, I think! At the beginning some things reminded me of Matt Barlow. Not to say that Felix sounds like him (don't get me wrong, Felix still has great voice IMHO), just that for some reason I was thinking of Barlow...

But there was something else too, I just can't put my finger on it...

Oh yeah, I really thought at some parts of Matt Barlow, especially at the second half of the verse. I´m still searching an own/special identity. I wanna add something strange, wired to the performance, but my fear is, it could sound redicilous or something

Holy shit Felix, sounds fantastic man! I feel on some of the notes you get a little too melodramatic/cheesy sounding (mostly the low notes, like "Will I ever reach the puhlace" ), but when you do "the place of million stones" (?), it sounds fantastic; really dude, keep it high IMO, but if you're gonna go low I'd suggest studying Matt Barlow, cuz he's the only singer who sings low that actually like (and yes, that includes Warrel Dane, I can't stand the guy's voice ). Anyway, that's all personal preference, the point is you nailed it with expressiveness and especially pitch, and goddamn you for being able to sing - I wish I could do it too, so that'd be one less person I'd have to deal with in a band! And of course you know all about that!

Thanks so much, Marcus :kickass: :kickass: :kickass:

Haha the Warrel Dane thing...To be honest, as I had listen to Nevermore the first time, I was confused and actually quenching in cause of the vocals.

But as TGE came out, I became a friend of his voice and today he´s one of my fave singers. For me always the Keyword is Emotion..(that´s why I´d always prefer a Chuck Schuldiner in comparison with a Chris Barnes grunt) Crying out emotions..that is what I like in Metal!! And Warrel Dane is able to transport it in such a great way. But like I said..I also had to get used to his weird, whiny style of singing :) Matt Barlow I also like a lot.

Sounds really pro!!!

I like your voice on both verses. It is not quite my style of music but there is something in your voice or the way to sing that I like very much. And compared to what I know of other Powermetal bands you really shouldn't be afraid to sing!

So go for it!

Danke, Mann!!! :kickass: :kickass: :kickass: And welcome to the forum!

Felix!!!!

Das ist echt ein Killertune. Ich bin begeistert!

Great job man

Prost!

Jaaaa Mann, Dankeschöööön!!!! Ich freue mich, daß du es gut findest :kickass: And you speak a very good German, dude!!!

My problem now is...how can I explain my singer (wich I planed to work with), that I yesterday unexpectedly and suddenly was born as an acceptable Powermetal singer? Fuckin´damn it!!

@Marcus! I absolutely know, what you mean. I went through this for years..I had so much trouble with singers!!! I will now begin to improve my singing and when I feel good enough, I will be open for some Powermetaaaaaaaal or clean stuff collaborations here on the forum :)

Felix, sounds great.. turn your voice up a bit on when you hit the low notes (like in the beginning).

Thanks @Black neon bob! :) I feel honoured, because I dig your stuff a fuckin´lot! It´s good to read that. I´ll take your tip into account!

But there was something else too, I just can't put my finger on it...

@Eddy...hmmmm maybe some Yngwie Malmsteen session or live singer?

Danke man :) To be fair, meine Frau had to help me with the last phrase, couldn't find the correct way of saying it ;) hahaha

As for telling your singer you were going to work with, unfortunately can't help you there ... guess you just got to tell him straight out. Best of luck with that and looking forward to hearing some more

Prost!
