Fast Track Ultra?

Hey guys, I think I'm going to be buying an M-Audio Fast Track Ultra because recently my Line 6 UX2 broke :/.
I will be mainly using it to record DI guitars with some free amp sims, and then do some reamping with real amps. Do you think this is a good choice for recording DI guitars? Or is there anything better around this price (300 USD)?

I have it and I'm very happy with it, the pre's work very nice and the DI are quite clean, I'll recomend you to go for the FTU 8R if you got the extra money, but if you don't need the extra inputs go for it.

I own the Fast Track Pro and have zero complaints.

Was looking at the Ultra 8R since my new computer doesnt have firewire and I can't use my Profire on it. Heard mainly good things about it.

I have no gripe with M-Audio products so far.

Mine is right next to me, d/a isn't too great. Cloudy in comparison to profire2626. It has been replaced with an 828mk3.

And what about the MOTU Audio Express or the 4pre?

I have this unit and have been happy with it so far. The only complaint I may see is that the plastic cover/casing feels a little cheap. Other than that, I like it, and it sound good to me.

MOTU for the win. I had a unit 4X the cost of my current MOTU and had nothing but problems with it. The MOTU solved all the issues.

Do any of the Fast Track Ultra users in here have some DI guitars that could sent to me? That way I can judge by myself.
