Favo(u)rite Albums of 2019 Thread

Put Summoning, Kveldssanger, Dead Can Dance, Nest, and some other neo-folk into a blender. The result is this. My AOTY by a long shot....

The first track deceives everyone because it sounds like another Ulverfolk ripoff, but then it just totally becomes something which is wholly unique and magical.

I won't make an actual list, but the best of 2019:

#1 = Wolcensmen - Fire In the White Stone
Runner-up for #1 = Obsequiae - The Palms of Sorrowed Kings
Nasheim - Jord och Aska
In Human Form - III
Mistyrming - Algleymi
Vimur - Triumphant Master of Fates
Crypt Sermon - The Ruins of Fading Light
Vukari - Aevum
Tool - Fear Innoculum
Vehemence - Par le Sang Verse
Saor - Forgotten Paths
Agalloch - Pale Folklore
Agalloch - The Mantle

Haunter - Sacramental Death Qualia (listen to this album if you haven't heard of it. Imagine My Arms/Your Hearse mixed with filthy death/black metal)

and ABSOLUTELY NOT "Old Star" by Darkthrone, because why are you doing this? please stop releasing albums

That Wolcensmen album would be better served as a Ulver rip off. Best track was the opener, eveything beyond was a tepid lull.

Maybe needs the proper setting.
