I'd list Freak Kitchen as my favorite non-metal band, but to some, they are a metal band, and to some, they are not. I'm also a HUGE fan of Frank Zappa, and have been a fan of his since 1979....

Since really only one can be picked I couldn't pick them over Floyd... but i do love SD... very underrated band... but after watching the live Echoes from Pompeii video.. Floyd is da shit and for now my favorite band... I'm one of the few metalheads whose favorite group is a non metal band i think....

I hear what you guys are saying re: rock vs. Metal but when I listen to Death Angel, Mercenary, Pantera etc.. I don't classify Scorps as Metal...but to appease you all I will pick another one...
