yardbirds are inconsistently very cool but prob wouldn't make my psych rock top 10, which is incidentally topped by mad river (by a fucking mile), then the doors and iron butterfly, may blitz and cream. even then i'm leaving out bands that could possibly be called psych rock, there's too much overlapping between the categories which is why i haven't contributed to this thread. the majority of my favourite rock bands are psychedelic so go figure
