Favorite comedians

Jeremy Hotz is hilarious. If you have never seen/ heard of him take a look. Very reminiscent of a more non deadpan Steven Wright.

I am a standup comedy freak. I like just about everybody mentioned in this topic.

Mitch Hedberg (RIP) is my favorite comic of all time. I had the opportunity to see him live (almost), but I wasn't 21 yet, so I wasn't allowed to get into the venue. What sucks is he was with some other great comics on that tour.

I also love Dave Attell (the Insomniac guy to some)...he's one of the funniest gross-out comics of all time. I simply can't name all of the comics I love though...there are too many...it's like when someone tells me to name my favorite metal bands!!!

Was that the tour with Attell, Black, and Hedberg? If so I saw that up here and it was a great time. I'm definitely glad I saw Mitch, he's one of my favorite comics ever.

Don't forget La Wanda Page (AKA Aunt Esther from Sanford And Son). She was one of the funniest woman stand ups in history and I believe one of the first. Redd Foxx and Bill Cosby were also great although Cosby was more of a storyteller and was non vulgar.

George Carlin, Bill Cosby, Johnny Carson back in the day, Steven Wright, and....

Pablo Francisco, ......
Definately check out Bits and Pieces dvd from Pablo Francisco, the funniest damn dvd out there.

Pablo is terrific. I saw him at the Punchline in Atlanta (Sandy Springs) and it was a great show! I've got his Comedy Central Presents stand-up bit as an audio clip and the whole thing rules, about 22 min. worth.

Freddy Soto is dead??? When did this happen?

On July 10, 2005, Soto performed at The Laugh Factory in Los Angeles receiving a standing ovation. Just hours after the performance, he died in his sleep at a friend's house. More than four months later, El Paso's KFOX-TV announced the coroner's determination that Soto died from a mixture of alcohol, Xanax and fentanyl. He is survived by his wife, Cory, and a 3-year old daughter, Cruz.

Here's Patton Oswalt's take on 80's metal. Absolutely hilarious.

I also love Bill Hicks, Dave Attel, Doug Stanhope, Mitch Hedberg, Loius CK, and Louis Black. John Stewert was also great long before the Daily Show.

Yeah Freddy was from here and still has family here, it was a sad day for all.

No love for Sam Kinnison?

Also a fan of the older guys:
Red Foxx, Richard Pryor, George Carlin (before he grew a vagina), The Smothers Brothers, Jonathan Winters, and how could ANYBODY forget Don Rickels......

I'll probably forget some, but let's see...

Dave Attell
Lewis Black
George Carlin
Louis C.K.
Jim Gaffigan
Eddie Izzard (when I'm in the right mood)
John Leguizamo
Brian Posehn
Joe Rogan
Christopher Titus
Robin Williams

I know there are more, but I don't often think about which comedians I like...

Here's an introduction to Pablo Francisco.

haha... "Coming soon."

(Urban Breed, if you read this, you need to click on the second one. :heh: )

Both are great clips.
Pablo mentioned meeting Don LeFontaine at the PunchLine show I attended...and also that he'd probably be doing some 'for real' preview voiceovers. He deserves it; he was really cool when we met him. :kickass:
