Well I like Seventh SOn best, followed by Powerslave and SOmewhere in TIme. Im not a huge fan of their last 6 or so albums; nor their early albums, although Number of the Beast is good.

This one makes my head smoke. Depends on when you ask, but since you asked today, the answer is Powerslave. Others challenge from time to time, but it most often owns the top spot.

It was not as an attack on Maiden, they're pretty good, it's just that I thought the thread sucked and needed to be turned in another direction since we've had similar threads not too long ago. I'll have to go with their first release because that is the definitive Maiden sound. The basslines are extraordinary and the sound is innovative and holds nothing back. Paul's voice was also more Metal.
