Favorite Maiden Album Coverart?

It has to be by Derec Riggs, the stuff he didn't draw(like fantom of the opera and the Bailey couvers) are not as nice. For me it would be Somwhere in Time; Stranger in a strange land; Live after Death and Brave new world.

To me, "Killers" is by far their best cover.
It's so detailed and realistic, too bad them and many other bands don't use hand-drawn pictures anymore...

Too bad indeed!!! Those hand drawn cover were part of the charm of 80's metal.... be they good covers or bad covers.

Hmmm... that's a hard one. I forget which single it was, but the cover had Eddie standing over Margaret Thatcher's dead body, with a bloody knife in his hand.. THAT was a fucking wicked cover and it even got banned/censored in England (they had to put a black bar over Thatcher's eyes). I have the 12", but am too lazy to dig it out, heheh... I think it's Sanctuary.

Even though Live After Death is my favorite one.. there are other ones i could probably add to my list like Aces High, Powerslave, The Trooper , Seventh Son, & Somewhere in Time (though im not into futuristic stuff) .... :Spin:

Indeed, plus some other trivia and sci-fi clues. The only thing I don't like is the band drawings, but the rest of the painting (even if is very boring according to Derek Riggs ) rules!

I'd say Killers but many of their singles had awesome cover arts, sometimes even better than the drawings done for the regular albums.

I'd have to say it's a tie between Number of the Beast and the Flight of Icarus single. There's so much various buggery and what-not going on in those two that you can stare at them for quite a while and still pick new shit out.
