Mikael Stanne is the guy from dark tranquillity.

Hes one of my favorite overall vocalists because he has an awsome clean vocals, as well as brutal growls and screams.

Tarja Turunen is also another amazing vocalist, she is by far my favorite female vocalist. I shoulda included her on my original list. Christina Scabbia from lacuna coil is also very good.

I have not heard a single "clean" singer in metal that did not make me want to gag, except of course for Tom Araya, assuming he qualifies as "clean".

Now, before I start getting derided for trying to sound too "troo", let it be known that my favorite "clean" vocal singer is Placido Domingo. So there.

Also now that I think about it, Mikael Stanne's clean vocals are great and funky (in a good way). Also, Ihsahn has a very powerful clean voice!

He's amazing, and even though I love Damage Done, I hope Dark Tranquility takes the direction of Projector and experiment a bit more with clean vocals and piano.
