I'm not complaining about bands doing goofy songs - I always liked Anthrax better than the other thrash bands. I also love Annihilator. But like Motorpsycho noted, those goofy things defined a "goofy" image that, I think, hurt those bands.

I actually own that on 7" vinyl. I'm NOT complaining. But songs like that, put out as singles, I believe DID hurt the band in the long run. "Cupajoe" and "13" weren't B sides either, they were on albums.
Metallica, Slayer, Maiden etc have NEVER put a song like that on a studio album.


BTW, those Annihilator photos aren't really goofy at all. Why did you post them? Why didn't you just look up this (or Kraf Dinner, or Braindance)? All great tunes IMO, but they ruined the bands image.

"Desolate Ways" is one of the best tunes EVER for example. But "Planet Caravan" is boring.
