Favourite My Arms, Your Hearse Track

I figured that, although the Favourite Song thread is quite interesting and/or fun, it's too hard to pick a favourite Opeth song out of the whole bunch. So I figured it might be interesting to poll each album, and then do a poll of the winners for each album to find the ultimate Opeth song. Give it a go!

I think inspiration wise MAYH is where they peaked. SL and BWP may be more technical but I feel that was past their creative peak. Just thought I'd throw my opinion in here.

"April Ethereal" is one of Opeth's best songs ever, in my opinion, though "When" is definitely in second place for that album.

I just heard it for the first time last night, and once again today and it was pretty good but not their best. Though I know it will grow on me a lot and I'll be able to remember the whole thing eventually, but for now the best song for me would be April Ethereal.

MAYH is leaps and bounds ahead of their other albums. April Ethereal is the best Opeth song ever.
