Without a doubt..... Hampton is the furthest away (walking distance)

not.

The Courtyard (Mariott), the Sheraton, and the Super 8 are farther. There are even farther-away places where people also stay for the show.

Literally, yes. Of the hotels mentioned at the start of this, the Hampton was the furthest. I'm totally pedestrian all weekend, and was thinking in pedestrian terms (not that some people don't walk from the further hotels).

The last vehicle I drive is in the parking lot in Milwaukee. Not having to worry about behaving and being rational is a big plus for me! :D

Goodness, Granada is already slim-pickins?! And I thought I was on top of things this year :erk: Hey John.. can you hook me up with a Grenada reservation before they all fill up? I don't care how much, I'll swing it one way or another!

Thanks for the dates Glenn! It's immeasurably helpful to know this early .. not that my work allows vacation in Sept anyway :zombie:

THANKS J-Dubya! I had booked the Residence yesterday Wed through Sun, just in case. I changed the booking today to Thurs to Sun and have the $99 rate. You're awesome.

Anytime, that pricing structure is just too messed up to not share that kind of info. You MIGHT have to mention it (the price). When I called their reservation HQ, the guy still quoted me $159 even after moving it from Wed to Thurs. It wasn't until I mentioned the packages from the website, that I got that price...

Husband's brother scheduled his wedding for this weekend. We'd asked him, prior to PPVI, to do everything he could to avoid that weekend (in the off chance it was scheduled for the same weekend for the third year in a row!). He called us, while we were at PPVI, to tell us it would be a year to the day when his wedding would take place.

:p

(I'm likely going to PP anyway.)

Hopefully I am secured at the Granada! Had to book the two-bedroom suite due to the fact that I have a very bad snoring problem, and Deb would kill me - pretty much guaranteeing that I wouldn't make it to PP VIII the following year (giggle).

Need to double-check the quoted rate because I didn't know they did a AAA discount...

I had gotten a studio at the Residence last year for $69 a night - I don't know what gods were smiling down on me when I booked, but apparently that rate was even better than the AAA discount.

Now I get to try to figure out how to organize about 20 of us into Los Angeles/Anaheim hotel rooms in August for less than an arm and a leg apiece...

to hell with waiting..... I just booked a trip at $158 LESS than last year, so I went with it. with the package price got a rate of $75 a nite at the Residence. Coast to Coast airfare not cheap...so I took it and ran!!! :)
