Fight Club

I thought the DVD was screwed up the first time that happened. Freaked me out. Something I noticed the second time, they only flash up when he hasn't been sleeping and before he appears for real. It's like it was a gradual progression brought on by insomnia; his mind eventually couldn't differentiate between fantasy and reality. Just my $.02.

If youthink the film was good read the book. A hell of a lot better. Itslike the film except MORE so if u get what I'm saying.Amazing.It really makes you think, as with all of Chuck's books

But anyway, the bullet bounces off his teeth and out of his cheek. In the book he has a gaping hole through the other cheeck for most of the book, so this one gives him a smilefromear to ear :D

By the way if you liked Fight Club, I seriously reccomendyou get all of Chuck Palahniuk's books, as they are far better than the film, and fight club IMO is his worst book....

Thanx for the info i will check out the books...But no one was able to answer my question fully. I suppose he was in shock right when he shot himself so he really did think it was the end but also... He never says his name. Marla calls him on it and he didn't say it. That's all there is to it, because his name wasn't important. The flashes, in my humble opinion were also somewhat a reference to his putting flashes of porn in kiddie movies. Heh.

You should check out a book by Mark Danielewsky called House of Leaves. It's rather similar to Chuck Palahniuk's stuff.

That porn shot...hahaha, I really liked that movie. Those movies that have that twist at the end like that? Yeah....like Seven and Sixth Sense. IMO, The Sixth Sense twist wasn't so good, but I could see what they were going for.

The shot to his head? I actually thought that seeing how it was his imagination that caused him, he could imagine that by doing that he'd actually be killing him. Ya know? It was all in his head to begin with...so...I don't know.

I just watched it the first time because  I was a sucker at the time for Pitt, but that's worn away...slightly. Mostly. For the most part! :err: My favorite scene was when they were outside and Pitts all, "Hit me." That was good...then the janitor or whoever comes out and sees Ed fighting himself. That was crazy...but you don't find out till the end.

Who hasn't seen Fight Club yet? And why the hell are you reading a thread about Fight Club and don't expect to hear all the best parts? Oooooh. You're just asking for it now. ;)
