Geez, way to sound bitter. I was being serious. Why is it John would be balless to come back but Joey wasn't?

As far as getting my band back I don't think you have a clue who you are talking to. I've always said that I prefered Bush but I gaave Joey more than a fair chance. I saw the reunion show twice, I had a good time both times, have stated many times he's a good singer, and a good frontman. The only things I've ever said bad about the guy is that his hair is funny as all get out, it was and still is.

Fuck the reunion, I saw the real shit w/ Joey back in the day 6 times, what does it matter if Joey had a front butt and a receeding hair line like your boy John Bush..

I saw pre reunion Joey once but I was pretty young. My preference to Bush was based on his voice. My statement was built around the fact that spacebeer over there finds it so hard to believe that anybody actually honestly prefers John's voice to Joey and if you did you must really hate Joey.

As far as looks go, John looks like an aging Bruce Willis, Joey looks like he sells hair band patches at the flea market. If I say John in a mall I doubt I would point and laugh as much as I would with Joey.

Scott and charlie were in this for the money, Nothing more, If john had even any sense at all he won't come back to nu-thrax. Stay in Armored Saint and actually show some pride. But anyways, Fuck Anthrax now. I won't be listening to their new shit and I wont pay a penny for anything they put out, I'll bet most of the true old school fans would agree. (Not to mention how Scott And Charlie fucked over S.O.D. - If Billy was telling the truth.)

How would going back to 4 years ago be moving forward? Just curious.

Four years ago, Thrax were kicking ass with WCFYA, an album that put up against Shitallicas album of that year, blew it into the weeds. The band were progressing nicely, with some of the best music of their careers, then took a hundred steps back to relive the 80s. At least they still have a chance to get back on track with John, get another album out, and keep kicking ass like they were before all this shit started. We saw Bushthrax three times in two years, and saw the reunion tour when it blew through the UK, in fact Dublin was the 4th date of that tour. I loved the reunion show, for what it was. "A REUNION". A chance to relive my teenage years seeing the old lineup, but John Bush belongs in Anthrax. Those previous 3 shows were all top drawer, much better than the reunion lineup. The energy the guys gave off was something to be seen. I really hope I get a chance to relive THAT again. And who the fuck is this TripJ freak? We met John Bush when Armored Saint played Belfast, and the man was nothing but a fucking gent. A real nice guy. Someone seems a little bitter.

Here's my two cents worth:

As a teenager, I was shocked to hear that Joey was out of Anthrax back in the '90s, and honestly I don't think I liked SOWN because of some bias toward Joey back then. As I got older, I appreciated SOWN for being a better album than I first gave it credit for (I ended up giving it a B- in my review for "The Daily Vault"). Long story short, I consider myself a fan of both singers.

I remember the shock when I was offered a copy of "Volume 8 - The Threat Is Real" to review back in '98, and I said, "Anthrax... they're still together?" After listening to that disc, I was happy to find out it was true.

I liked the idea of finally being able to see the "classic" lineup of Anthrax at HoB in Chicago, and getting to shake Joey's hand and say hello. If only I had been able to see the actual "Among The Living" tour.

Where am I going with this? I don't know all the reasons for what Scott and Charlie have done over the last few years, nor do I necessarily want to. But whatever the next chapter in Anthrax's history turns out to be, I'm willing to give it a chance on its own merits. If it stinks, well, at least we gave it a fighting chance. If it is outstanding, all the better.

I was gutted when i heard that the band were reuniting with Joey and Dan because Im a huge fan of the Bush era much more than the "classic" line up, I gave it a go though and attended both Glasgow shows and i was not impressed that much. Hopefully this means that we'll hear John ans Rob are back sooner rather than later.
