Finding myself wanting a new guitar...

i did some search the last days, and besides maybe some Schecter stuff i really found nothing interesting, so i know i'll go for a Stinnett as soon as possible

SCHECTER endorses this forum, or what?

What stores do you have down there? Since its the capital im sure you must have the best choice around.

We really don't, not at all. Denmark Street is full of indie bollocks, and the only decent shop I can think of is Peter Cooks, but it's probably quicker for me to get on a train and go to Hitchin than it is to get to where he is!!

Hmm perhaps ordering off the net may be the best way? Even though you will no doubt want to try one before hand :p

Hell, I don't even care for Schecters that much, but I can't deny the quality! Of course, ESP LTD is their more traditional (thinner bodies, thinner necks) doppleganger, so they're my vote! :)

dude when did you last go to denmark street one shop cant remember the name has almost everything in the esp lines and most of jackson i think i saw some schecters last time i was in there, plus the other shop with a decent guitar stock is full of metal heads i dont know where your getting this indie bollocks unless your going into the vintage shops which ill admit is clogged with bankers and indie wankers

Seriously, I would buy a Schecter.
I'm trying to sell my lovely and bloody awesome Washburn Idol Series Nick Catanese to buy a Schecter Hellraiser FR Black Cherry... But it's fucking difficult these days to sell anything due to the economic crisis...
I'm very sad, I want the Schecter, and I want it now!

There's no-one selling Schecter in London anymore, I was the Schecter guru in London until the SC group went tits up and now Reverb have exclusivity on them. You could get them from Rhodes a while back but they were off-the-back-of-a-lorry USA imports and not through the official distributer (now Arbiter, who own the Reverb stores) so had no warranty and cost 30% more than at Reverb (£799 for a C7 Hellraiser? Me thinks not!!).

Our guitarist has two C-1's (a C1+ w/EMG's and a C1 Hellraiser FR) and they take one hell of a beating!! They're seriously the best £ for £ guitar out there.

Dude.. when did YOU last go to Denmark Street? Wunjo, Music Ground, and Rose Morris are all fails.. the only one with anything remotely metal is Rockers; which is run by tossers tbh, and I'd rather give my money to a hobo who raped me, than them.

Also like I said; LEFT HANDED. Most shops only have the bog standard Ibanez SA stuff in left hand, or a shite strat copy - both of which I've had!!

it was just a question because i dont remember it being that bad and if it is the case i wont bother going there for my ltd. oh and just a heads up if you do to to hitchin watch machinehead last time i spoke to them the guy was rude and unhelpful but he may have moved on this was a while ago. if your going online i had a decent experience using GAK, again was a few years ago and ive heard some guys on here don't like them so much now
