First Addictive drums try!!!

Ok soooo Im still really new at this recording stuff maybe 3 months at most....I got addictive drums and tried to make something....I have no idea what Im doing haha soo I need some advice from you experts =) I used the Lepou 456 ampsim with this....anyways please guide me to the light!

chill on the compression. i can't say much because i do the same thing, but those drums are squashed.

Yeah, definitely chill on the compression, the whole mix seems to get squashed after awhile. Bring the cymbals down, don't use any compression on that, and maybe cut the 'verb down a bit.

i gotta say there are two main awesome things that came out of the addictive drums collection. the DW kick, and the Signature Ferrrone snare. Other than that, I think the toms are tuned way to high to compliment a rock band. They are also out of tune most of the time. My suggestion, back down on the compression, and try to use the DW kick and Ferrone, but dont overpower the effects that addictive gives you. AD can sound good given alot of tweaking, but I think you would be better off using BFD2.
