I apologize that I use this forum to promote my new band. Many may think that I use my short membership of Amon Amarth. But I think there are people out there who are intreserade of what the old members do today, it's one of the reasons I'm here.

Welcome the latest addition to the family!
Today we met up with Niko Kaukinen, former drummer of Amon Amarth.
We have been talking to Niko back and forth for some time about him joining the band and earlier this week we set a date for a meet.
Today was that day!

We spent the day quickly running through our EP and playing a yet-untitled song (we'll give you the heads up about that one when we can ^^)
And after a quick run through we decided that there's no doubt about Niko's skill and talent and thereforth we gladly let him join the band.

So i hope you all will greet Niko with a smile and look forward to hear him play!

Hey, guys! Now I will tell you a short story. I think It all started 1992 when I and some of my frieds wanted start a band. The first band was called Scum and after some member changes and so on it bacame to be one of the greatest bands on earth, called Amon Amarth. So i had the great opportunity to be one of the founding members of that great band. My contribution to the band consists of three recordings "Thor Arise"demo, "The Arrival Of The Fimbul Winter"demo and the MCD "Sorrow Throughout The Nine Worlds". After those recodings it was time for me to move on with my music career. It didn't go as well for me as it did for my friends in commercial terms (but i HAVE NEVER regretted my decision, thoe that there may be those who don't believe me). I just followed my heart and went on playing punk and after the punk period i played Rockabilly, Psycobilly and Ordinary rock. So you se i'm not just into Death Metal, I listen to many different types of music and the same goes when it comes to drumming.

@Gazza: I initially thought this was trivia posted by someone random about AA's first drummer; I changed my mind when I realized it was self-promotion for a decent band, since that doesn't bother me, rather than some "where are they now" bullshit. I don't particularly care about Nicko as AA's drummer, but as the drummer in a new band that has potential I don't mind him creating a thread. Everything up to Sorrow is still bland.

There is some smal things hapening now with the band! This weekend we will take some new promo/band fotos, and we are looking for a rehearsal room so we can start to create some more great music. We will try to record some new stuff with me on the drumms before the end of the summer and and hopefully if everything goes well we might even have/will get a record deal until then...

I found it not too bad actually.....I'd probly get tired of it fairly quickly but it's not something I'd be embarrassed to be caught listening to. At least not VERY embarrassed XD
