FOOTBALL 2009!

The Steelers look to be in pretty good shape to repeat as SB and AFCN winners. The O-line was young last year and should improve. Hard to improve over a SB win, but I see The Steelers being better than last year. The emergence of Santonio Holmes will pull constant double coverage off of Hines Ward. At Hines age, most receivers start to decline, but Hines not really being a fast guy in the first place, I don't see his skills diminishing. Willie Parker will also now be in year two after the major knee surgery. Quite often it takes two years to recover from that.

New England will also be tough to beat. While I think Matt Cassell did a fine job, he isn't Tom Brady, and I see them being a contendor again as well as winning the AFCE

The AFC South is wide open. Tennessee will repeat though. You don't get the best record in the NFL by accident.

The AFCW is going to be commanded by SD. They will have a better record than last year.

The wildcard teams will be Jax and the Colts. I think Jacksonville's fall from grace last year was more of a fluke than anything. I also think despite coaching changes at Indy, Peyton Manning will find ways to win.

In the NFC, I see The Saints really shocking people. Everyone knows they can score crazy amounts of points, but their defense looks to be improved this year. It is hard to look too much into pre-season due to the fact, you will be seeing vanilla offenses, but I think there will be a significant improvement on the Sain't "D" this year. I expect them to win the NFCS

Green Bay switched to a 3-4 defense and with the help if first round pick BJ Raji, at nose, I think they can pull off the transition better than most in the first year. I think they will represent the NFCN this year.

Arizona will win the NFCW. Those receivers are very good and they may have a better running game this year as well.

The NFCE will be won by Philly this year. I don't think the new "wildcat" Vick will run will play very much of a part of it, but rather receivers really stepping up this year.

I think the wildcards will be The Seahawks and The Vikings. Brett favre will help Minnesota gain a respectable record and they may make noise in the play-offs as well. I think The Seahawks will benefit from Whoseyomama by a great deal. TJ is a very smart and productive football player.

In college ball..... get real !! Alabama was leading the National Champion Gators at the half in the SEC Championship game. They will have a better defense than even last year and will very likely have a better QB. USC doesn't play anyone, so they might very well go undefeated. I see the NC game being #1 USC and #2 Alabama, with Alabama coming out the winner by 9 points.

When Detroits wins a game, it's going to be as if they won the Superbowl locally

There's a lot of talent on our team now, plus we did some "weeding out" of some problematic people in the organization. I'll be happy if we win about 4 games this year, but I'm expecting closer to a .500 season. :)

I see Matt Ryan and Tony Gonzalez and the Falcons having a year like no other team. They will tear up the NFC.

In College well The Crimson Tide is going to win it all, unfortunately(AUBURN fan here) with Georgia hot on their tail

The Falcons have a better team than last year, but I don't see them winning 11 games again. At least not with the starting defense that has showed up for the last 2 games...

I have no idea how the Dolphins will do... The 11-5 last year was a bit of a mirage, I think... Easy schedule, everybody was healthy all year, Brady was hurt.... But I am confident the team will be decent.

Well, you've got two things right anyway! ;)

Heading over to Jim's shortly to see Bama play... they'd better damn well start this season a lot better than they ended last season.

I agree with Bryant that the D should be better, and the QB may well be better (not a *huge* JPW fan here, though I hope to see him do well & play with the Falcons).

PENN STATE FOOTBALL!! HELL YEA!! im expecting great things from them this year...WE ARE...PENN STATE

of course, gotta bring it home and support eagles for pro. Vick is vick, meh, whatever. theres been enough said about that, my 2 cents doesnt matter.
what matters is they have been my team from my city for my whole life and hell if im just gonna stop supporting em!!

E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!

My brother went to Penn State and since my school didn't have a football fan, I support them as my college team. I'd really love to see a national championship out of them before JoePa retires.

Since my father grew up in Buffalo, I've always been a Bills fan but Giants are the local team so I support them too. There hasn't been much to root for with the Bills anyway and I'm not too happy with them acquiring TO.

Hopefully, The Saints recent defensive acquisitions will be beneficial. Brees and Co. were racking up about 35 points a game. but giving up 35 or so. I see the Saints making some noise this year.
