Wow, that coral reef thing does sound cool. I can be one with the sea, albiet in the form of an artificial reef, but sea life will then live in me. I just hope some boat doesn't sink over my reef, however. 
I'd like them to dump it pretty far away if they did that.

Yeah.
In the documentary they showed how they sank the reefs. They pulled the reefs with one boat (there were ballons inside the reefs so they stay afloat when pulled) and the immediate family of the dead ones were on another boat so they could see the actual "burying". If I had to guess I'd say they pulled the reefs like 3miles from the coast. And the reefs weren't that big, only like 1meter times 1meter, roundly shaped tho'. And of course with holes in the sides so the fish can swim in and out.
