For you assholes who don't tip waitress's

Meaning they would actually show you the way to the privy?

Well, one time this girl just started to talk to me and my friend about college, and we actually had her sit down with us for a few minutes. I bought her a cup of coffee and gave her that huge tip. Nice people deserve such things! Plus, you know, she gave me a blowjob underneath the table while I was enjoying my beef product.

(not really)

I hope you realize most of their paychecks come out to $0.00 after taxes. Haha. Fun fact!

This doesn't make mandatory tipping any less stupid. I'll still tip because I know people depend on that shit, but it's just a horrible system. Fuckin charge us more, pay your employees properly, and let us decide whether to give a little extra!

15% at brunch and 20% at dinner. i dont include TN's 9.25% sales tax though. i know people who do that. thats insane.

15% tax hahahaha
TN doesnt have any income tax - only the 9.25% sales tax. if you dont buy anything, you rule, but if you buy stuff - even at the grocery - youre like whaaattt the fffuuuucck?! im not looking forward to buying a $1600 bike this spring. and forget about buying a car here hahaha literally hundreds maybe thousands in taxes

yeah. 14.5% sales tax (7.5% federal, 7% provincial) but depending what you buy some of those taxes don't apply. And then there is income tax.

at least ohio doesn't tax food purchases.
i thought they started doing that a couple years ago? no? anyway, yeah, thats one of the things i missed when i moved away. but, i soon discovered that ohio has one of the highest tax burdens in the country and TN has one of the lowest - something like 5th and 47th respectively

our taxes are 15%, so I usually tip the exact same amount as the tax.
.

But when I personally know the barmaid/waitress, I tip more.

/see thread about my ex-teacher/barmaid

she likes me

i live in oregon

0.0% sales tax motherfuckers :D

20% is my standard tip, unless the service is noticeably bad. if it's really awful i won't leave a tip, but they really have to deserve it.
