yo,
I thought it's time again to upload some real drumtracks for all you DFH+SSD fanatics.

these were high quality drums (my Yamaha recording custom set with Yamaha sd6455 snare) with nice cymbals (paiste signature line)

not exactly metal but hardcore/modern punk, so close enough.
I think you'll find the sounds quite easy to work with....
go ahead and post your mixes of these drums

HC/Punk Drums

the tracks are completely raw of course

thanks, i will check them out later? are they already edited then or do they need to be? if they do, what is the tempo

Thanks again

they're already edited not 100% locked on the grid though, I left some groove in them.
It's also not that long, only half a verse and a chorus I think.
no floor tom or china in this section, I'll probably upload some more files with china etc in the next days....we'll see

This is really the first time I've ever done this (it was pretty fun though, so thank you :)), so constructive critisism is very welcome :) I really didn't know what to do too much, so it's pretty much gate on everything and some miserable compression on bass drum/snare. Used pretty much just the free Cockos plugins. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10138888/Punkdrums.mp3

I also made a quick mix while trying out the LeCto Beta. Really struggled with the bass drum (the guitars are too overwhelming I guess) and I ended up reinforcing it with samples (tried out the free sample replacement options in Reaper, used ReaGate and ReaSamplOmatic5000). Bass is pitchshifted guitar. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10138888/Punkdrums mix.mp3

(I'm mixing on headphones, so I guess it might very well suck badly on monitors. Please let me know :))
