No band has to offer a messageboard for their fans. If a band does it, it's cool. If a band even pays for it, it's even cooler. But you should ask yourself for what they pay. I doubt that a band pays for a board just to see that their fans can count to a million.
There are many people who just don't want to come to this board here anymore because of these annoying threads. Useless threads appear daily on this board. But they can also be made on special off topic boards here at Ultimate Metal. Or it would be also okay to make a sub-forum at the COB board for that. So me and many other people don't have to waste their time to check what's really interesting and what's not.
That's the way I think and that's the way it should be.

unfortunately, no band has any control on the level of discussion among fans. and since saying "begone! you're too stupid to be a fan o' mine!" is considered a not very successful move, bands are left with taking whatever comes along. in a way, you cannot even be certain that bandmembers of some band are so above the counting-to-one-million level.

I agree with Zarok. While I still enjoy being here Im not glad that nothing goes about CoB. Years back it was different, we were discousing things connected to the band, there were ppl asking about everything, and here were ppl that were giving direct answers. I remember when I posted a question, I got one answer thanked back and it wa leaved with 3 post within. Imagine now, while asking a thing, that you will be given 150 answers and none of them will give you answer.
Im really tired of reading sth like:
" Sorry dude, dont know " or:
" Dont know... "
This board chnged alot during past few years. The first post beoth was bodomite who posted 30 answers per day. It was unlikely to see someone who got 10 posts per day. That included me...
So we really have to ask ourselves if we want to race each others in the number of useless answers? Or should we just constrain usable posts?
I think that something between that should be right...

Yeah, Bodomic remembers the "good old times" especially on the first two boards. There were a lot of COB related threads (well, there were ONLY COB related threads). But if an interesting thread starts at this board, it will turn out into something senseless at the 15th reply because someone thinks he must show everybody how funny he is.
And some people shouldn't be so bored that they answer in every thread even if they don't have to say anything more than "I don't know". Maybe they spend too much time here. They should get a real hobby like weather photography for example.

btw why dont we choose admin among us? It must be somebody who will keep this board cleaned out of spam threads and so on.
Remember, you arent coller if ya have thousands posts or tens of pips under your character. THe more help full and knowledged you are the more wealthy person you became in the eyes of some people...

You have a good point there, but as we've discussed earlier on the board, cobadmin hasn't "disappereared". He's doing his military service, for christ's sake! And tell me, how often can you get to the internet while you're on a training camp in the middle of the forest? Even if you would've managed to get your laptop with you, no cellular phone has a battery that would last long, when using it to get to the internet.Voice of God said:
