hey lads.

i got a lockerz account

lockerz is one of the few companies on the internet that actually gives away legit prizes like macbooks, ipods, t-shirts etc when you earn points by logging in every day and doing small easy games etc. i got 20 points since easterly and to show how close i am im only around 10 points away from being able to buy an ipod skin.

anyway its on private invite at the moment so if anyone wants to join up PM me with your email address and i'll gladly send you an invite

take care sneapians,

ross :kickass:

UPDATE:

BUMP - IF ANYONE WANTS AN INVITE PM ME WITH YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS

i also managed to join the "ELITE" lockerz labs crew - check the blog here http://blog.lockerz.com/?p=1816

so i'll be trying to bring some metal to the lockerz community when its all up and running meaning i can showcase some metal from the sneap forums on lockerz and share it amongst its 6 million members - ill be posting on this real soon

no - just enter in a postcode on signup (if you need a postcode go to my other website - haha www.randompostcode.com)

then register your lockerz account - when you have your lockerz account up and open in the settings you can select what country you are from

i believe its real because there are soooo many videos, reviews and testimonials about lockerz that it is legit - and at the end of the day the 2 creators blatantly show their faces, give their details etc online - if it were a scam their identity would be kept as a secret. and there are no adverts on the lockerz website so if it were a so called "scam" it would be pointless because they wouldn't make money from it.

and finally the site is full of videos from celebs talking about lockerz.com

thus its legit

its still a pretty new site so i understand why people are skeptical about it but like... celebs, videos etc - it cant be not real - you'd understand if you got an account and took a look around and seen the lockerz blog etc

They do make money by covert advertising, market research and selling contact information.

Tempted to try it, not sure yet though.

covert advertising how? if you seen the site you wouldn't think that!

selling contact information = illegal

market research = fair enough maybe they do, i dont know - google does the same with gmail, saving search history and so much more - think of what google's OS will gather about you!

and if its full of celeb's talking about lockerz well i doubt it would be a scam!

Covert advertising: You wouldn't think that, but with the TOS you agree on being presented content (and links) by third party companies.

Selling contact information: Ain't illegal if you agree on it. ;) There are some squishy terms in the privacy rules concerning this. They make it look like it's just very general demographic data they're giving away about you to third parties, but they don't specify what exactly you agree on giving away.

Look, I don't say it's a scam... in fact, given the evidence all around the net, I really don't think so. And I'm actually tempted to try it out myself.

I am just trying to explain where the "catch" here is, because they somehow have to make a profit from this.

Dude, I got like 20 of those points when I joined. (Loading bar thing, would of got more if I new what I was going to do ahead of time) Uhm they're not showing on my point counter. Think I got robed.

lol man - give it time and the points should show up - if they dont get a new email and pm me and ill send you another invite

yup! its like 3500 for a 4gb ram iMac - thats what im aiming for! like i said if it were fake it wouldn't be supported by celebs talking about it would it? :)

So I send out some invites myself and it says they were "accepted"... yet I didn't get any more points so far? Do I just have to wait or did someone fuck up?

yep yep just joined, i reckon what i will do is just get the cheapest item to see if this is actually for real, that way we will all know i guess
