Hey guys,

saw a few threads of folks posting their IRs, so I thought I'd threw these 2 in here as well. Me and my buddy made them after the latest reamping session.
We have a few more, but these 2 are the ones I like the most, and the others sound pretty similar anyway.
Made through the poweramp of my 6505+, pres was about 8.5ish, reso at 6-7 or something like that. 57 on my favo speaker of the oversize.

here they are

and so you can judge if they are even worth for you to try out, here are some clips of the angled one, compared to 2 popular IRs.

Too me it sounds a bit more chunky and a tad less boomy, cause it has more mids than those 2 popular IR's.
Have fun!

great ir, thanks!!! can you share DI tracks ? Would love to get info about guitar/pickups/audiointerface

I quickly tested these and "measured the curves", they both seemed good! Pretty similar actually. If I'd have to judge with my eyes I'd say the sweetspot one is a tad better with less audible fizz.

Your IR´s with Voxengo Boogex has some kind of delay. I dont understand shit about creating IR´s but I think that could be the tail, it´s quite long for an IR. But no problem, with lecab works fine.

Yeah here too. I had to cut them way shorter or else I get this random delay thing. Too long IRs!!! :) Cut them shorter.

The overall tone was very nice but hoooly shit that's a lot of low end. And at 60hz. :D Kick drums better watch out!!! ;)

Good tone though!

thanks guys, glad you dig it!
hopefully some will find it usefull

guitar was an epiphone les paul custom with emg81tw @9v.
Audiointerface was a focusrite saffire LE!

the whole set sounded pretty similarish, I guess that's just how that particular speaker sounds. I like the angled one more for some reason, altho my buddy who I made the impulses with also prefers the sweetspot one.

ah damn...I got the effect on another impulse I made, but with a different IR loader. it also butchered other IR's that worked, so I thought it was the loader, since everything worked out fine with Lecab.
I also recognized that the IR is quite long, because of the filesize (couple of hundred kbs instead of below 100, which is most of the ones I like have).

Were did you cut it? I tried to make it shorter, and to eliminate some strange delay/spike thingies of the tail, but it turned it into a holy shitfest of fizzyess. Sounded like total ass, so my phylosophy was "it works, sounds nice, so I'm gonna stop to fuck it up because of the filesize or how it looks"
It was only the 2nd time I made impulses tho, so maybe I got a hickup along the way, altho I followed tutorials pretty closely on how to do it. The first time did impulses I hade the miced sweep to short, so I had to add silence at the end of it to be able to convolve it. Thats why I recorded a few secs more this time around.

I dont really hear any low end issues tbh, stuff like spreshigh and asem recto have even more of that. at least to my ears!

I think I had to cut it extremely short to remove all unwanted delay artifacts. You can see it in the waveform when you load it in your DAW. There are more than just one "impulse" in that file. :)

The low end wasn't a problem really. Post EQ took care of that. :) I don't think I've ever seen a guitar cab go as low as 60hz with that much content. Anyways it was cool!! Very clear sounding IRs!! I like them.
