French Black Metal

What do you think to French Black Metal?

In all my order books there are two French Black Metal bands which are usually in them. These 2 bands are Anorexia Nervosa and Antaeus, what do you think to those 2 bands and the French Black Metal scene as a whole?

Aren't Himinbjorg French? I'm not sure , but I think they are. I like Himinbjorg's 'Third' and 'Haunted SHores'.

Also, I've been meaning to check out the French band, Bran Barr, who apparently have a sound akin to 'Tuatha Na Gael'-era Cruachan.

It seems like France is a major contributor to black metal at the moment, and just extreme music in general.

I've recently been seeing lots of mention of French black metal - e.g. Nuit Noir

It seems like they have a good BM scene over there!

There are some great French black metal bands..The obvious 'Black Legions' bands :Vlad Tepes, Mütilation, Torgeist and Belketre..Also Deathspell Omega, Antaeus, Blut Aus Nord and Kristallnacht.

You can just search for all bands from 'France' and it gives you a huge list.
